Last September 6, 2009, Sunday, 18 Hiramites (15 MMs and 3 EAMs) went to "war". Most of them first-timers, these brethren travelled to the beautiful place of Bro. Lito Sioson, our Senior Warden, in Pililla, Rizal to engage in air soft games, i.e., war games using air soft rifles. At the end of the day, after enjoying the experience, WM Ringo Puno, Bros. Lito Sioson, Deng Amisola, Andy Pantanosas, Carlo Concepcion, Emil delos Santos, Jun Torres, Eugene Dalican, Steve Dalican, Jovic Tribiana, Melvin Tesoro, Mike Masangkay, Rene Sinoy, Willie Regalario, Charleson Tan (EAM), Royce Reyes (EAM), Michael Vincent See (EAM) and this writer were all agreed that this activity is definitely worth doing again. It was made possible through the efforts of Bros. Emil, Jun and Royce who are air soft enthusiasts. They provided the firearms, pellets as well as masks. They also brought along their friends from the Renegades Air Soft Group, who joined the games and acted as marshals. The group was divided into two teams, Teams A and B, which battled each other for four games after which, all felt tired but happy with the experience. It showed and strengthened the camaraderie among the brethren. And although Bro. Michael Vincent See suffered some injuries in his hand from short range fire, he still expressed excitement about the next event. Aside from the brethren and the friends from the Renegades Air Soft Group, also present were Kevin, son of Bro. Willie Regalario, and Sisters Amisola, Sinoy and Sioson. Two daughters of Bro. Deng Amisola also tagged along and had a good swim in the nice pool of Bro. Lito. Of course, the day would not have been complete without the food and drinks prepared by Bro. Lito. In the true spirit of brotherhood in the Craft, the brethren shared in the cost of the food and drinks. And with a karaoke system, some brethren stayed on till late at night. After all the shots were fired and when each brother was in the comfort of his own home, he could not help but ask when the next "war" would be. |
