Yes Brethren Christmas is here. You will think now of whom you will give gifts, classify its value and meaning of each gift as per your recipient and of course, it’s time again to write new resolutions for your target next year. This is happening year-in and year-out to ourself. Was there a repetition in your resolution? If there are, then you are not successful. If there is none, then you had a successful year. In our Lodge, let us do the same. Let all Hiramites never to repeat the sad experience in the Lodge this year. Let us get out of it today remembering it not as a bad omen, but as a good lesson never to be repeated. Let us put it as a Lodge’s resolution for 2010. Happy New Year! OUR NOV. 6TH SM: On our last SM we passed to the 2° Bro. Charleson Tiu Tan and Bro. Randell I. Reyes. They are now in the middle of the web and hope they could get out on its periphery in due time. To them, just follow the web-line. The web is not like a puzzle, but circumferentially straight leading you to the mysteries’ periphery of the craft, the Masonic Brotherhood of men. THE REFRESHMENT AFTER: The refreshment that followed after the passing was superb like the other past fellowships. HL 88 made it already normal to be always good in terms of refreshment; a worthwhile gathering among the brethren and fellows but more especially to our guests. Hiramites who still remain in their solitary confinement outside the lodge are truly missing a lot in the 3rd division of their 24 inch gauge. To all of them, I suggest to wake up and cover completely your 24 inch gauge as we were taught in the craft. THE PM’S AND LADIES NIGHT: The HL-88 PM’s and Ladies Night routinely being celebrated for two decades every five years, but nowadays yearly celebrated consecutively on its 3rd year; ALL TIME FREE to all Hiramites & Ladies in the exclusive Hotels & places with superb food, bottomless drinks, and entertainment is a HL-88 Feats that very few Lodges could copy. Yes, every HL-88 celebration was so distinct of its own program, where the Brethren were seen on their best dark coat and tie attires and the Ladies on their best party dresses of the evening, and of course was always honored by a Guest Speaker of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines, Chief Justice Reynato S. Puno, a PM of HL-88 and PGM of the GLP. This is again a feat that is being added yearly to the HL-88 distinctive feather of its noble existence. Equally distinctive are the Ladies dancing performances demonstrating their steps that never fade throughout these years only show their complete solidarity supporting the Brethren. Hiramites knows the nights of practices the Ladies had been through just to make the PM’s Night merry and satisfactory to the Brethren. But only the sad part of it was the Brethren could not reciprocate the Ladies dancing steps, that when dancing time comes; almost all Hiramites were stick to their glasses doing a golf, golf, golf; as they all have already their weary feet that could not dance anymore, but only can advance by one regular step with their left foot and bring the heel of the right to the hollow of the left, their feet forming the angle of a square. That’s all they can do. But the Party’s end summation was always great! Every one was happy that the party didn’t only end at midnight, but always in the wee hour at 3AM in the morning. Thank you every one, especially to the Ladies. THE HL-88 GOLF TOURNAMENT: Hiramites proved really bonded together for in the early morning of Nov. 14th, 25 brethren showed up mostly the newly raised, the Candidates, and even the Petitioners, some of whom were with their Ladies. The WM and all the Officers of HL-88 gave thanks to all brethren, Candidates, and Petitioners who really went out of their way exerting time and efforts to solicit Major, Hole, and Patron Sponsors. Some solicited goods that were raffled in the awarding of trophies to the players and later some of the prizes Hiramites non-players included. We will not mention the names of these Solicitors in this NL to keep it Masonic in nature but in the lodge’s reports—name of Solicitors will be read and recorded. Your efforts will be remembered in the achieve depository of our Lodge. Hiramites and their Ladies had a very good semi-reunion at the Intramuros Golf Course main Club Reception Hall that after the Golf Awarding Ceremony, the brethren played their own kind of Golf, Golf, Golf, fastly covering 3 holes. The Champion here were Bro. Ricky Diaz, PM and Bro. Anthony Sarangay who just came in from Canada and the USA respectively. Again, thank you to everyone. HL-88 NEXT GENCOM MEETING: On Dec. 2, 2009 the HL last Gencom 2009 will meet to recommend the HL-88 2010 program of events and the other related projection. All HL-88 PMs and the 3 Lights are required to attend and assist us to make this yearly recommendation for the betterment of HL-88. It is hoped that like the past two decades, Gencom recommendation will be equally followed by the Brethren. This was the key that made our Lodge strong, solid, financially fit, compounded with its good decorum and good lodge’s management that is known to our District and now even goes beyond its borders. Let us keep it up Hiramites!!! THE HL-88 2009 CHRISTMAS PARTY: Our Christmas Party which is a family party much awaited by our children will be on December 13, 2009 at 2PM at SRT. The WM and his Officers had already laid out a plan. It will be a repetition of the past X’mas Parties we had. Some brethren are requested to bring their bottles so we can play our kind of Golf but bring soft drink, please. The Ladies will prepare the games for the Children, other brn should bring gifts to be raffled for the same. Who knows HL-88 Santa Claus may come again, the lechon provider maybe in town, and the Calendar Master Producer may prepare his wares. Once these events happen, then the HL-88 family’s happiness will again be complete. The best part of it is and was, this Christmas Party like all those we had before are ALL free for the Hiramites and families, as practiced by HL-88 for many many years; another feat that HL-88 is known for. Let us celebrate it with a big bang. Merry Christmas!!! HL-88 CHARITY PROJECT: HL-88 will have its Charity Caring for the Old on Dec. 6, 2009 at 8AM to 12 noon..
