Antonio Chua Chua,

SECRETARY’S MAY  2010 MESSAGE

The month of May is the month of flowers whose fragrance and beauty reminds us of our youthful days blooming with love and happiness we nurtured then of what we are today. Yes, what we had done, prepared, and took care off, were the very things we are enjoying or suffering at present; the ups and downs changing the frequency of our lives from negative to positive with reference to our borderline, the boundary line of our infinite good and bad circumstances. Let us therefore maintain our personal existence nearest to perfection that in summary, we should be welcome in the heavens by our Creator as a good and faithful servant.

In our Masonic life is exactly the same, from the time we were accepted and admitted in the portals of Masonry, it was all our records of performance and cooperation which crafted ourselves of what we are today in the lodge.

WELCOME NEW HIRAMITE! On our April 9, 2010 SM, Bros.: Michael Vincent Lim See and Joseph Jeremias C. Dator were raised to the sublime degree of MM. Welcome Bro. Michael and Joseph. You now belong to the lodge that strictly working to be a unique lodge through the quality of its Memberships.

The 2010 ANCOM: Yearly there were a big group of Hiramites joining in celebrating the Grand Lodge Annual Communication renewing its closed bonding together.  This year will be no difference.  Hiramites will be united again in fellowships to renew its commitment as a lodge of the Grand Lodge. We will assemble at the MOA on April 22nd and will join together at lunch time for fellowships.

In the night of the same day, Hiramites will support WB Raymond W. Lee, PM in supervising the Grand Master’s Night Dinner at the GLP Compound.  WB Raymond is the one In-Charge to handle the more or less 3,000 guests expected in the evening. Let us as assist him!

THE HIRAM-88 FAMILY OUTING ON MAY 16, 2010: On May 16, 2010, HL-88 will have our yearly family outing in Pililla, Rizal, the home ground of our WM Julito G. Sioson. All Hiramites and their families are expected to join and repeat the yearly family reunion of kids and HL-88 families.

Awarding of Plaques and Appreciation to Honorees and Graduates will also be done on this day.  So inform the Secretary’s office if you have a son or daughter in this category.  Cash Prizes will be given to Suma & Magna Cum Laude’ ending 2010 Collegiate School Year.

Lady Hiramites will take charge of the games for children and adults headed by Sis. Nely Sioson. Sis. Angie and other Ladies! Please take charge. Thanks.

THE HL-88 NEW OFFICE:  Hiramites, we have now completed our new office. The office is fully renovated, furniture, coffee carriage, electric fan, air-con, water dispenser, and other gadgets now in place. It is only the Computer and Typewriter still remains to be purchased. Seeing and staying in this office, every Hiramite will feel elated and honored to be a Member of Hiram Lodge. This is the biggest and the most beautiful office of all Lodges holding office in the GLP Bldg. HL-88 is number one in this category. Hooray, we made it! Our dream office is fulfilled.

This is a legacy of the present HL-Members that will be remembered by the future generation of Hiramites.  This is a preparation that has been worked out, labored, and prepared for the use and convenience of the future generation of Hiramites; “to secure the tenure of their occupancy in a home office that will put their existence modestly higher that what we are today”.  How happy for the brethren to dwell together in unity!

This office will be named, “MW & Justice Reynato S. Puno Office Hall”. We will make a marker to mark him this honor.

HL-88 OFFICE RIBBON CUTTING:  To mark the formal occupancy to our new office, a Ribbon Cutting and Christening is scheduled on our May 7, 2010 SM.  We will invite a Priest or a Pastor to do it and the Ribbon Cutting will be done by our Honorable Justice and MW Reynato S. Puno, PGM at 7PM after the SM.

After Christening a short-program will follow, then brethren will proceed to the Golden Fortune Restaurant in Kalaw Street for a Thanksgiving Fellowships to mark this event; the most successful day in the 86th year’s history of Hiram Lodge No. 88, F & AM. The Charter Members of Hiram Lodge No. 88 are surely happy in the heavens for their effort in forming this lodge was not in vain, and the present Hiramites who worked it out in this Golden Age, look forward that the future Hiramites’ generation, will continue and withhold the same on its glory as of today!
